All the commandments were summed up with two statements about love. Let’s be the dads who are living with the knowledge and decision to live by the answer. Let’s be the dads who choose to take the key and open the door to fulfillment in our lives and families. Love is the answer and the key to life.
God is Love:
- 1 John 4:8: “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”
- 1 John 4:16: “And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.”
- Romans 5:8: “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
- 1 Corinthians 13:13: “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
God so loved that He gave:
Be the Dads who love:
- John 13:34: “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”
- 1 John 4:7: “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.”
- 1 John 4:11: “Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.”
- 1 Peter 4:8: “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.”
