We’ve each been created on purpose, with purpose, and for a purpose. We’ve been given gifts and talents by God and so we need to be good stewards of them. Are you being a good steward of your purpose as a husband and dad?

“Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they exist, and were created and brought into being.”
Revelation 4:11 AMP
Firstly, let’s be the dads who value God and praise Him because He is worthy. Secondly, let’s be the dads who give God the glory, honor, and power in our lives. Finally, let’s be the dads who are living our lives celebrating God because He created all things.
How can we be the dads who live out today’s verse of the day? What can we learn from it to become the dads God created, purposed, and planned for us to be? How can we connect and choose to live in the way God created for us to be?
Applications of Revelation 4:11 on being the dads God create us to be for our wives, kids, and world need us to be:
- Recognize God’s Sovereignty: Just as Revelation 4:11 highlights God as the Creator, acknowledge God’s authority and sovereignty in your life and as the head of your family. Understand that He has a plan for you as a father.
- Gratitude: Show gratitude to God for entrusting you with the role of a father. Recognize that your children are a gift from Him (Psalm 127:3).
- Lead by Example: Live a life that reflects your faith in God. Demonstrate through your actions, attitude, and character the values and principles you want to instill in your children.
- Teach and Nurture: Take an active role in teaching your children about God and His ways. Provide spiritual guidance and nurture their faith as they grow.
- Prioritize Family Time: Spend quality time with your family. Create a loving and supportive environment where your children feel valued and cherished.
- Pray Together: Foster a habit of family prayer. Seek God’s guidance and protection for your family and encourage your children to pray.
- Serve Others: Encourage your children to serve and care for others, teaching them the importance of compassion and selflessness.
- Stewardship: Teach your children about responsible stewardship, not just of material possessions but also of the talents and gifts God has given them.
- Discipline with Love: Discipline your children with love and fairness, just as God disciplines us. Use discipline as an opportunity for growth and learning.
- Trust in God’s Plan: Trust that God has a plan for your family, even in challenging times. Lean on Him for strength and wisdom to navigate the ups and downs of parenthood.
Remember that being the dad God intended you to be is an ongoing journey of growth and learning. Seek support from your faith community, study the Bible, and pray for guidance to fulfill your role as a father effectively.
