More Than is the reason you can have hope today!

I find the concept of “More Than” intriguing, especially as a group of men, led by Ken, created a 52-week devotional book for men called “More Than“. As this new day begins, we can hold onto hope because God is capable of exceeding our expectations and imagination. Therefore, regardless of the challenges we face, we can trust that God is more powerful, and we can find hope in that. How are you doing today? Are you facing any struggles or in need of assistance?

Do you need to rekindle your relationship with God? Does your marriage need some help? Could it be a relationship with your kids that is in need? Turn to God who is more than able through His mighty power at work within you to accomplish infinitely more than you could ask or think.

Today’s Verse of the Day:

Let’s give God the praise, the honor, and the glory today because He is able to carry out His purpose and do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think. Be the dads who trust and lean into God because we know that He is able to do infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams! So let’s receive Jesus into our hearts today and seek and pursue Him with all of our hearts in order that the good works He has prepared in advance for us to accomplish can be done according to His power that is at work within us!

So how can we apply today’s verse of the day towards becoming the dads God created, planned, and purposed for us to be for our wives, kids, and world?

Applications of Ephesians 3:20 toward being the dads who aren’t looking for the status quo but instead for “more than” through God:

1. Dream Big: Trust in God’s power and believe that He can do far more than you can imagine, not only in your life but also in your role as a father.
2. Seek God’s Guidance: Rely on God’s wisdom and seek His guidance in parenting decisions, knowing that His plans for your family exceed your own understanding.
3. Pray for Your Family: Regularly pray for your wife and children, asking God to bless them abundantly and help them reach their full potential.
4. Embrace God’s Power: Recognize that you are not alone in your journey as a dad; tap into God’s power and strength to fulfill your responsibilities.
5. Lead with Love: Model God’s love in your interactions with your family, showing patience, kindness, and understanding.
6. Provide Emotional Support: Be emotionally available for your family, offering support and encouragement to help them grow in their faith and personal lives.
7. Encourage Faith: Foster a deep sense of faith in your family, teaching them to trust God’s promises and rely on His guidance in all aspects of life.
8. Be Present: Make an effort to be fully present in your family’s lives, actively engaging with your spouse and children and creating meaningful memories.
9. Cultivate Unity: Create a harmonious environment within your family, where everyone supports and uplifts one another in love and understanding.
10. Mentor and Guide: Lead by example as a man of faith, teaching your children about God’s love and demonstrating how to live according to His principles.

Remember that these applications are not exhaustive, and each family’s situation is unique. Allow God’s Word to guide you in being the best dad you can be, knowing that His plans are greater than anything you could ever imagine.
