The How: Seek the best, the higher good for others!

To be the dads God created, purposed, and planned for us to be, we need to understand how in order to be living our lives loving our wives, kids, and people that God brings into our world! Not just emotionally but by seeking the best for them. We need to be the dads who are looking for the higher good of others in how we choose to live our lives!

The interesting thing is God wants us to be choosing to live this way with everyone for as much as it depends on us we are to live at peace with everyone! We aren’t to be looking for ways to get or find revenge because vengeance belongs to God! Not just those we get along with or who are nice to us but even our enemies.

So how will you choose to live your life when it comes to interacting with others?

So let’s be the dads who love our enemies! Unselfishly seeking the best for our enemies! Unselfishly seeking higher good for our enemies! Firstly, let’s be the dads who do good and lend without expectations of return or getting anything in return! Secondly, let’s be the dads who trust God and His commands and know that our reward will be great, rich, and abundant through God’s plan and grace! Finally, let’s be the dads who choose to live in alignment with the will of God so that we will be sons of the Most High because He Himself is kind and gracious and good to the ungrateful and the wicked!

So how can we apply today’s verse of the day towards being the dads God created, planned, and purposed for us to be for our wives, kids, and world?

Applications of Luke 6:35 towards becoming the dads God has planned, purposed, and created us to be for our wives, kids, and world:

• Unselfishly love: Embrace a love that seeks the best for others, even those who may be considered enemies. Love your family and others genuinely, selflessly, and without expecting anything in return.
• Do good: Actively pursue opportunities to do good deeds for your family and others. Show kindness, help those in need, and be a positive influence in your sphere of influence.
• Extend grace: Model and demonstrate God’s grace by being kind, gracious, and forgiving. Extend mercy to your family members, offering forgiveness and second chances when they make mistakes.
• Be generous: Cultivate a spirit of generosity and willingly share your resources, time, and talents with others. Teach your children the joy of giving and the importance of helping those in need.
• Expect nothing in return: Avoid having selfish motives in your actions. Teach your family to give without expecting recognition or reciprocation, allowing them to experience the freedom of selfless giving.
• Reflect God’s character: Strive to emulate the character of God, who is kind, gracious, and good even to the ungrateful and wicked. Let His nature shine through you in your interactions with your family and others.
• Show mercy: Practice responsiveness, compassion, and tenderness towards your family and those around you. Teach your children to have a merciful attitude, seeking to understand and support others in their times of need.
• Display patience: Cultivate patience in your interactions with your family, even during challenging moments. Exhibit a patient and calm demeanor, showing understanding and grace.
• Foster unity: Create an atmosphere of unity and harmony within your family. Encourage open communication, resolve conflicts in a loving manner, and promote a sense of belonging and togetherness.
• Seek God’s guidance and strength: Rely on God’s wisdom and strength to fulfill your role as a father. Pray for His guidance in making decisions, resolving conflicts, and leading your family. Depend on His grace to help you embody the characteristics described in these verses.
