Firstly, you know who created you right? Secondly, you know He created you on purpose, with purpose, and for a purpose right? Finally, take this knowledge and express adoration, praise, and joy.
Express gratitude
Furthermore, as I prepare for today, knowing it is Palm Sunday I reflect on what happened. Today brings the reality of the week of passion comes to mind as the sacrifice that was made for you and me. Jesus, the perfect example, shows how important it is to accomplish the purpose God calls us to for the greater good. Let’s express our gratitude to Him for making a way when there didn’t seem to and doesn’t seem to be a way.
Express adoration, praise, and joy
Before we jump into the verse of the day, let’s consider what Luke 19 has to say:
‘After saying these things, Jesus went on ahead [of them], going up to Jerusalem.
When He approached Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount that is called Olivet, He sent two of the disciples, saying, “Go into the village ahead of you; there, as you enter, you will find a [donkey’s] colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Untie it and bring it here. If anybody asks you, ‘Why are you untying the colt?’ you will say, ‘The Lord needs it.’ ”
So those who were sent left and found the colt just as He had told them. As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, “Why are you untying the colt?” They said, “The Lord needs it.” They brought it to Jesus, and they threw their robes over the colt and put Jesus on it.
As He rode along, people were spreading their coats on the road [as an act of homage before a king]. As soon as He was approaching [Jerusalem], near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the entire multitude of the disciples [all those who were or claimed to be His followers] began praising God [adoring Him enthusiastically and] joyfully with loud voices for all the miracles and works of power that they had seen, shouting, “Blessed (celebrated, praised) is the King who comes in the name of the Lord ! Peace in heaven and glory (majesty, splendor) in the highest [heaven]!”
Some of the Pharisees from the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples [for shouting these Messianic praises].” Jesus replied, “I tell you, if these [people] keep silent, the stones will cry out [in praise]!”
As He approached Jerusalem, He saw the city and wept over it [and the spiritual ignorance of its people], saying, “If [only] you had known on this day [of salvation], even you, the things which make for peace [and on which peace depends]! But now they have been hidden from your eyes. For a time [of siege] is coming when your enemies will put up a barricade [with pointed stakes] against you, and surround you [with armies] and hem you in on every side, and they will level you to the ground, you [Jerusalem] and your children within you. They will not leave in you one stone on another, all because you did not [come progressively to] recognize [from observation and personal experience] the time of your visitation [when God was gracious toward you and offered you salvation].” ‘

Today’s Verse of the Day:
they took branches of palm trees [in homage to Him as King] and went out to meet Him, and they began shouting and kept shouting “Hosanna! BLESSED (celebrated, praised) IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD, even the King of Israel!”

Express gratefulness to God
Firstly, let’s be the dads who bring something to the table to express adoration, praise, and joy to God. Secondly, let’s be the dads who go out to express adoration, praise, and joy to God. Finally, let’s be the dads who celebrate and rejoice by expressing adoration, praise, and joy to God.
How can we take today’s verse of the day and use it to help us be the dads God created and purposed for us to be?
Ways to apply today’s verse of the day to be the dads that express what God created us to be, leading in love, wisdom, and faithfulness:
Welcome your children with open arms:
Just as the people welcomed Jesus with branches of palm trees, fathers should welcome their children with open arms, creating a safe and loving environment for them.
Express love by showing them the way to Jesus:
Fathers should lead their children to Jesus by teaching them about God’s love, grace, and salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Express caring by being a blessing to your family:
As the people blessed Jesus when He came, fathers should bless their families by providing for their needs, encouraging and supporting them, and being a positive influence in their lives.
Live as a king under God’s authority:
Fathers should recognize that they are not the ultimate authority in their families but are called to live under God’s authority, leading their families in His ways.
Be a servant leader:
Just as Jesus humbly served His disciples, fathers should be servant leaders, putting the needs of their families before their own.
Express worth by speaking life over your children:
Just as the people cried out “Hosanna!” (which means “save us” or “deliver us”), fathers should speak life-giving words over their children, affirming their worth and potential in Christ.
Be an example of a godly character:
Fathers should strive to live a life of integrity, honesty, and faithfulness, setting an example for their children to follow.
Pray for your family:
Just as the people cried out to God in praise and thanksgiving, fathers should lift up their families in prayer, seeking God’s wisdom, guidance, and protection over them.
Express hope by encouraging your family to worship God:
Just as the people worshiped Jesus, fathers should encourage their families to worship God, both individually and as a family.
Point your family towards eternity:
Just as the people recognized Jesus as the King of Israel, fathers should help their families understand that our ultimate hope and joy is found in Jesus and our eternal destiny in Him.
