You are here and now, Of all of space and time.

Right here and right now is when God chose to put you, of all the times you could have been born, you are living here and now. You have been put here for such a day and such a time as now. So today let’s make sure we don’t miss the mark by not receiving the baton being passed to us and being prepared to hand off the baton we are to give.

If Jesus hasn’t come back then finishing the race strong means finishing your leg of the relay race called life and making sure that you pass the baton of faith onto the next generation. Yesterday in a small group session I started saying we need to be 15:3 so we don’t end up with a 2:10. Let’s be the people in the middle who have looked back to receive the baton and are reaching ahead to pass it onto the next generation by showing and telling them about the goodness of God!

Here and now, consider the lessons from Judges and 1 Corinthians:

‘After Joshua sent the people away, each of the tribes left to take possession of the land allotted to them. And the Israelites served the Lord throughout the lifetime of Joshua and the leaders who outlived him—those who had seen all the great things the Lord had done for Israel. Joshua son of Nun, the servant of the Lord , died at the age of 110. They buried him in the land he had been allocated, at Timnath-serah in the hill country of Ephraim, north of Mount Gaash. After that generation died, another generation grew up who did not acknowledge the Lord or remember the mighty things he had done for Israel. ‘

Judges 2:6-10

‘I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said. He was seen by Peter and then by the Twelve. After that, he was seen by more than 500 of his followers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have died. Then he was seen by James and later by all the apostles. Last of all, as though I had been born at the wrong time, I also saw him. For I am the least of all the apostles. In fact, I’m not even worthy to be called an apostle after the way I persecuted God’s church. ‘

1 Corinthians 15:3-9

Consider Esther and how she was in the here and now of her time for a purpose and how if she hadn’t of done her part what would have happened to the people of Israel. She was in the here and now for such a day and such a time as then. You are in the here and now for such a day and such a time as now!

Here and Now, Verse of the Day:

Here and Now, on purpose, with purpose, and for a purpose!

Let’s be the dads who are living in the here and now for the sake of our wives and our kids and this world! God put us here on purpose, with purpose, and for a purpose! Consider the reason for God has put you in the position you are for such a time and such a purpose as this! To be the dads that this world needs! Taking a stand in the middle to be able to pass on the baton of faith to the next generation! Therefore, stand in the gap, and be the dads God created, purposed, and planned for you to be!

Of all the times He could have put you here, He chose here and now, so let us put into practice what God is telling us in and through His Word today! We are here for a purpose and we should use our talents and abilities to make a positive impact on the world around us.

Here and Now, put into practice the lessons from today’s verse of the day:

• Embrace our role as fathers: “Just as Esther embraced her role as queen to save her people, we must embrace our role as fathers and be the best we can be for our families.”
• Lead by example: “Esther was a great example of courage, and we must lead by example for our children, showing them what it means to be a responsible and caring adult.”
• Provide for our families: “Esther risked her life to provide for her people, and as fathers, we must provide for our families, both financially and emotionally.”
• Protect our families: “Just as Esther protected her people, we must protect our families from harm and danger, physically and emotionally.”
• Be selfless: “Esther was willing to sacrifice herself for the greater good, and we must be selfless in our actions, putting our families’ needs before our own.”
• Be courageous: “Esther showed great courage, and we must be courageous in standing up for what is right and protecting our families from harm.”
• Have faith: “Esther had faith in God, and we must have faith in our beliefs, ourselves, and our families, trusting that we will overcome any challenges we face.”
• Be resourceful: “Esther used her resources wisely, and we must be resourceful in finding solutions to problems and providing for our families.”
• Communicate effectively: “Esther communicated effectively with her people and the king, and we must communicate effectively with our families, listening and responding to their needs.”
• Serve others: “Esther served her people, and we must serve our families and the community, making a positive impact on those around us.”
