To focus means you have to keep your eyes on something.

Firstly, ever tried to look at two things and found your focus went blurry on one of them? Ever tried to focus on something close and far taking pictures and as a result, discovered one of them blurry and the other in focus? What about in your life?

Where are you keeping your eyes focused? Are there things that are causing your eyes to wander and impacting your focus? When a situation arises do you keep your focus or is your focus drawn away from the actual source?

When we read the word focus, let’s work on being able to see clearly! When we hear the word focus, let’s pay attention to the subject that is being discussed so we can measure it against God’s Word!

• on Jesus rather than looking away from all that will distract us!
• our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith!
• our eyes on Jesus, the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity!

How do we keep our focus?

Let’s apply today’s verse of the day to our lives as dads:

• Fix your eyes on Jesus: “As a dad, it’s important to keep your focus on Jesus and strive to follow his example.”
• Be a pioneer of faith: “Blaze a trail for your children by setting an example of faith and showing them what it means to follow Christ.”
• Endure hardship: “Being a dad isn’t easy, and it can involve a lot of sacrifices and hard work. Like Jesus, endure these challenges with joy and perseverance.”
• Set aside shame: “Don’t let shame or guilt from past mistakes hold you back from being the best dad you can be. Instead, learn from your mistakes and move forward.”
• Find joy in your role: “Just as Jesus found joy in his mission, find joy in your role as a dad and the opportunity to shape your children’s lives.”
• Keep your eyes on the end goal: “Focus on the long-term goal of raising children who love and serve God, even when the day-to-day challenges can be overwhelming.”
• Embrace your role as a leader: “As a dad, you have a leadership role in your family. Take this responsibility seriously and lead by example.”
• Trust in God’s sovereignty: “Recognize that God is in control and trust him with your children’s lives, even when things don’t go according to plan.”
