Eyes on Jesus – Day 12

When you aren’t sure what to do, put your eyes on Jesus. When you are shocked by something, turn your eyes to Jesus. When you are surprised by something, turn your eyes to Jesus. When you don’t know what to do, turn your eyes to Jesus!

God’s Word knows what you are going through, where you’ve been, and what good things are yet to come. God’s Word is active and alive and can speak right into your situation if you will pause and turn to it in the moment of uncertainty. So let’s start our day, no matter what happens with God and in God’s Word! He will never leave us nor abandon us! We are never alone even when we feel like we are all by ourselves.

Let’s be the dads walking carefully, living life with honor, purpose, and courage, and shunning those who tolerate and enable evil! Let’s be the dads walking wisely being sensible, intelligent, discerning people! Let’s be the dads who are making the very most of our time on earth, recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence! Let’s be the dads who know and realize that the days are filled with evil and so choose to not be foolish and thoughtless! Let’s be the dads who know and realize that the days are filled with evil and so choose to understand and firmly grasp what the will of the Lord is!

  • “Have you ever had a tiny rock in your shoe? It is very annoying and even painful, but if you are like me, there are times you leave it in your shoe. Why do we do that? Well, it takes effort to remove the shoe and sock, find the pebble, when we can just “put up with it” even though it is uncomfortable. Logically this makes no sense; just take 30 seconds, find the rock, and continue walking pain and stress free!“

We have general revelation in the Bible as a foundation for our discernment, and the Holy Spirit can provide specific revelation to us as He sees fit.“
  • “Reflect: What figurative pebble (annoyance or hindrance) do I need to remove from my life that I have been too lazy to remove? Pray about it and ask God for discernment on your next steps.“
