Oh how the time flies. Each time I get to the end of a devotional, I turn to the Bible App, do a search for “dad” in the devotionals and see which one is next on the list. Today, I found Finding My Father.
The Bible App describes the devotional as follows: “A plan for those on a journey to become better, not bitter.“
Scripture for Today’s Devotional:
‘I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. ‘
John 14:18-20
God’s Word is powerful and true! God’s Word is a lamp and light! God’s Word never returns void! God’s Word is sharp enough to cut to the center! God’s Word has perfect timing!
Let’s be the dads who turn to God in the midst of whatever we are facing! Let’s be the dads who know we are never alone because God has promised that He will never leave us as orphans but will come to us! Let’s be the dads who see God in the midst of the darkness in the world! Let’s be the dads who see God because we have invited Him into our hearts! Let’s be the dads who choose to live our lives to the full in accordance to God’s purpose and plan for our lives! Let’s be the dads who are walking by the Spirit! Let’s be the dads who are pursuing eternity where we get to spend it with God and all of His people!
