A new day and a new season begins. As I completed the previous devotion yesterday, as my younger daughter is off to college and starting training with her soccer team, as my older daughter is completed/graduated her first training class and gets ready for her next one, and as my son begins a journey of being an only child in the home, it’s important to know and understand where you are going, and so today’s devotional felt appropriate with the name True North.
The devotional is described in the Bible App as follows: “God is so absolutely crazy about His children and wants to show His love in so many ways. It wasn’t until I was a father that I understood that crazy parental kind of love, and it gave me a perspective of how He feels for us. My perspective changed further when I began to raise a little girl, and the tenderness of my heart helped me to understand the tender side of God—a side that would do anything for us because He loves us.”

Let’s be the dads who live as God’s handiwork! Let’s be the dads created to do good works! Let’s be the dads who are ready to do the good works God has prepared in advance for us to accomplish!
Let’s be the dads who are united and connected with Jesus! Let’s be the dads who are the branches connected to Jesus the vine so that he will remain in us and we will be in Him! Let’s be the dads who remain in Jesus so that He is able to flow in and through us, producing much fruit! Let’s be the dads who cling to Jesus because we know that with Jesus all things are possible and that apart from Him we can do nothing!
Let’s be the dads who stay with Jesus because we know that He is with us! Let’s be the dads who walk out our lives knowing that Jesus is watching over us wherever we go! Let’s be the dads who walk our lives with the Holy Spirit so that He can lead and guide us in the way we should go! Let’s be the dads who know we will never be alone because Jesus will not leave us until He has completed the good works and promised He has made to us!
Let’s be the dads who are living our lives as chosen by God! Let’s be the dads who are living our lives knowing that God loves us! Let’s be the dads who are living our lives redeemed by God! Let’s be the dads who know God, that Jesus is God, that the Holy Spirit is God, one God in three persons! Let’s be the dads who know that God is faithful! Let’s be the dads who love because we know that God is keeping His covenant of love to us! Let’s be the dads who love God and know that those who hate Him will be repaid with destruction! Let’s be the dads who follow God’s commands and the higher calling of Jesus today!
