As dads, we can start believing that a good marriage means getting our wife to see things our way. Couple’s Night offered a different picture, it should be a mosaic. Two people bring their own stories, strengths, and rough edges into marriage. God can shape those pieces into something beautiful.

“So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”
(NLT)

Genesis 1:27

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
(NLT)

Ephesians 2:10

“Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.”
(NLT)

Colossians 3:13

Your wife is not a project to manage, and your differences are not automatically defects to correct. Ask God to help you notice the gifts carried in the ways you see life differently. A mosaic does not erase its pieces; it gives them a place in a shared picture.

  • Let’s be the dads who thank God for the unique person our wife is.
  • Let’s be the dads who ask what we can learn before trying to change a difference.
  • Let’s be the dads who invite God into the unfinished parts of our family story.

What difference between you and your wife could become a strength for your family if you learned to value it?

God, help me see my wife as someone You made, not a project for me to manage. Show me the beauty in the ways we differ, and shape our separate stories into a faithful life together. Amen.
