Do you realize the importance of your time and efforts? Let’s get today started on the right foot by investing in the right things that produce a good legacy. Remember how legacy isn’t about what you leave behind but rather what you have poured into others. Therefore, to be the dads and have the right things to pour out requires that we are filled with the right stuff first. Additionally, let’s make the time and effort to get filled up to overflowing with the good things of God!

Time and Effort to get filled up with love to overflowing:

Firstly, we need to make the time and effort to build a relationship with God as He is love and to trust God we need to know God. Therefore, let’s grab a hold of Romans 15:13 which tells us: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you will abound in hope and overflow with confidence in His promises.

Spend time and effort reading and studying God’s Word:

Secondly, we learn in Psalms 119:105 how “Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.” We learn in James 1:22 that “But prove yourselves doers of the word [actively and continually obeying God’s precepts], and not merely listeners [who hear the word but fail to internalize its meaning], deluding yourselves [by unsound reasoning contrary to the truth].” Therefore, by reading and studying the Word of God through the Bible we can see and understand what God is asking and calling us to do so that we can then be doers of the Word and overflow into the lives of our wives and kids!

Make the time and effort!
