The choices you make today will impact the future, so choose the right side. Picking the wrong side or the wrong way will set you up on a shaky or unstable foundation to be able to build your life upon. Choose the right side so that you will be building your life on a solid rock foundation, aligned with the cornerstone so that you are able to withstand the storms, the troubles, the trials, and the temptations in and through the strength, the power, and the protection of God! Choosing the right side will ensure that you get the counsel, the guidance, the wisdom, and the discernment you need real-time for whatever comes your way.
Today’s Verse of the Day:
Therefore, be the dads who live and trust that God is faithful! Additionally, be the dads who trust that God will strengthen us by setting you on a firm foundation! Moreover, let’s be the dads who trust God to protect and guard us from the evil one.
So how can we apply today’s verse of the day towards choosing the right side as dads that will glorify God and meet the needs of our wives, kids, and world? How can we apply it to ensure we stay strongly put on the firm foundation of God and His Word?
Applications of 2 Thessalonians 3:3 towards being the dads God created, purposed, and planned for us to be:
- Trust God to keep his promises and fulfill his purposes for us and our families. He is faithful and will never leave us nor forsake us
- Rely on God’s strength to overcome any challenges or difficulties we face as fathers. He will give us the grace and wisdom we need to lead our families with love and integrity
- Seek God’s protection from the evil one, who wants to destroy our faith, our marriages, and our children. We can resist his temptations and lies by putting on the full armor of God and praying in the Spirit
- Praise God for his faithfulness, strength, and protection in our lives. We can worship him with gratitude and joy, and share his goodness with others
- Model God’s faithfulness, strength, and protection to our wives and children. We can show them that we are loyal, dependable, and supportive. We can also encourage them to trust in God and seek his help in their lives
- Teach our children the truth of God’s Word and the importance of obeying his commands. We can help them grow in their knowledge and love of God, and equip them to face the challenges of the world
- Pray for our wives and children regularly, asking God to bless them, guide them, and protect them from the evil one. We can also pray with them and for them, interceding for their needs and requests
- Serve our wives and children sacrificially, following the example of Christ who gave himself for us. We can put their interests above our own, and seek their welfare and happiness
- Love our wives and children unconditionally, reflecting God’s love for us. We can be patient, kind, gentle, forgiving, and faithful to them. We can also express our love through words and actions
- Partner with our wives in raising godly children who will glorify God and serve his kingdom. We can support each other in our roles and responsibilities, and work together as a team.
