As we start our day, it’s important that we prepare ourselves to listen to God. Let’s concentrate on God’s Word to discover our purpose and awaken our destiny! Our priorities should be in order, with God first, our spouses second, our children third, and everything else last. Let’s focus on what God is communicating today. We must pay attention to His message so that we can be the fathers that our families and the world require.

27 “But I say to you who hear [Me and pay attention to My words]: Love [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for] your enemies, [make it a practice to] do good to those who hate you, 28bless and show kindness to those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

Let’s be the dads who are listening to God and paying attention to His Words! Firstly, let’s be the dads who love by unselfishly seeking the best or higher good for others including our enemies! Secondly, let’s be the dads who make it a practice to do good to those who hate us! Finally, let’s be the dads who bless and show kindness to those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you!


So how can we apply today’s verse of the day to help us live our lives to the full and be a blessing to our wives and kids by living up to the high calling of being the dads this world needs, no matter how they treat us?
