For example, the devil is a liar! Similarly, he comes to rob, kill, and destroy! Let’s stand with faith over fear by resisting the devil so that he will flee! Let’s put all our trust in God to be bold and courageous as we live today!
Remember this as you live your life with faith over fear:
The Devil is a Liar:
‘You are of your father the devil, and it is your will to practice the desires [which are characteristic] of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks what is natural to him, for he is a liar and the father of lies and half-truths. ‘
John 8:44
The Devil comes to Rob, Kill, and Destroy:
‘The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. ‘
John 10:10
Choose to resist the devil when he shows up:
‘But He gives us more and more grace [through the power of the Holy Spirit to defy sin and live an obedient life that reflects both our faith and our gratitude for our salvation]. Therefore, it says, “God is opposed to the proud and haughty , but [continually] gives [the gift of] grace to the humble [who turn away from self-righteousness].” So submit to [the authority of] God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him] and he will flee from you. Come close to God [with a contrite heart] and He will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; and purify your [unfaithful] hearts, you double-minded [people]. ‘
James 4:6-8
