Looking up what today’s verse of the day means wisdom and integrity are revealed:
- “To be “wise as serpents” means to be shrewd, astute, and clever in the face of danger or adversity. It suggests that one should be cautious, vigilant, and discerning, able to see through deceit and avoid potential pitfalls. In this context, the serpent is often seen as a symbol of cunning and deception.”
- “To be “innocent as doves” means to be pure, guileless, and harmless. It suggests that one should be honest, sincere, and trustworthy, with a heart full of love and compassion. In this context, the dove is often seen as a symbol of peace and purity.”
- “Taken together, the phrase “wise as serpents and innocent as doves” implies that one should be both smart and good-hearted, capable of navigating the challenges of life with both wisdom and integrity.”
