Starting with our focus on having a relationship with Jesus!

“I remember over 20 years ago when the aha moment came when I realized it wasn’t about rituals or routines but rather it was about having a relationship with Jesus. I had gone through the processes and never even heard about the reality of a relationship with Jesus. It was never expressed nor taught, so it took me into my 30s before the truth of who Jesus is and that rather than what I can do or am doing, it was about who Jesus is and what He has already done. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus so that nobody can boast. From the overflow of our faith comes the fruit of the Spirit and our good works, not the other way around. Our works and the fruit of the Spirit aren’t to get to heaven but the overflow of God’s saving grace in our lives.“

Let’s be the dads who start with a relationship with God! Let’s be the dads who have an intimate relationship with Jesus! Let’s be the dads who allow our relationship with our wives to be loving from the overflow of love poured into our lives through our relationship with God! Let’s be the dads who allow our relationship first with God and second with our wives to fill us to overflowing so that we can pour love into the lives of our kids!

Let’s be the dads whose eyes have been opened to the truth and hope and love of Jesus! Let’s be the dads who help our wives, our kids, and our world to have their eyes opened to the truth and hope and love of Jesus! Let’s be the dads who shine our light so that others will come to faith in Jesus through the overflow of what God is doing in and through us and our marriages and our families! Let’s be the dads who don’t go stale but rather discover fresh vision of God that will transform our lives in the coming year!

Let’s be the dads who know Jesus and make Him known to our wives, to our kids, and to our world through the words we speak, the actions we take, and lives we live!
