What would it take for you to go? What would it take for you to do? What would it take for you to change? What would it take for you to adjust? What would it take for you to confront the lies? What would it take for you to share the Good News? What would it take for you to be ready to share the reality of your relationship with God?
Today we continue with Day 6 of 10 where we will get to hear about the third fundamental! Let’s dig in and see what God has to say to us in and through today’s devotional.
Scripture from Today’s Devotional:
‘Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. But do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ. Remember, it is better to suffer for doing good, if that is what God wants, than to suffer for doing wrong! ‘
1 Peter 3:15-17
‘For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile. This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.” ‘
Romans 1:16-17
No matter what is going on in life, we need to start our days with God, in His Word and in His presence. No matter what things are trying to grab our eyes, our ears, our thoughts, and even our hearts, we need to be prepared and filled up in order to be ready and able to accomplish the good works God has prepared in advance for us to accomplish today! So let’s dig into God’s Word rather than getting paralyzed or trapped sitting in front of the tv watching the dramatized view of what is taking place in our world!
Let’s be the dads who worship Jesus as the Lord of our lives with all of our lives! Let’s be the dads who receive Jesus as the Lord of all of our lives, not just select, compartmentalized parts! Let’s be the dads who are ready, willing, and able to give a reason for the hope that is within us so that others may hear of Jesus and have their lives transformed too! Let’s be the dads who are ready, willing, and able to give a reason for the hope that is within us to our wives! Let’s be the dads who are ready, willing, and able to give a reason for the hope that is within us to our kids! Let’s be the dads who are ready, willing, and able to give a reason for the hope that is within us to our world! Let’s be the dads who are ready, willing, and able to give a reason for the hope that is within us in a gentle and respectful way! Let’s be the dads who are ready and willing to give a reason for our hope by keeping a clear conscience! Let’s be the dads who are ready and willing to give a reason for the hope that is within us by living out our lives in faith, by faith, with faith so that we can accomplish the good works God prepared in advance for us today! Let’s be the dads who are ready, willing, and able to suffer for doing good because we know it is better than suffering for doing wrong!
Let’s be the dads who are confident, proud, and unabashed about the Good News of Jesus! Let’s be the dads who are powered and fueled to do good works and most of all God’s works knowing that the Good News is the power of God at work saving everyone who believes! Let’s be the dads who model and express how the Good News makes us right in God’s sight! Let’s be the dads who model and express this to our wives, our kids, and our world! Let’s be the dads who choose to walk by faith and not by sight from the moment we receive Jesus till we are called into heaven! Let’s be the dads who grab hold of and share the truth of God’s Word that tells us “It is through faith that a righteous person has life“! Let’s be the dads who receive the truth in God’s Word that says “So it is clear that no one can be made right with God by trying to keep the law. For the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”“! Let’s be the dads who choose to do this thing called life God’s way so that we can have life and life more abundantly!
