As I start this day and reflect on the need to have someone and something trustworthy, I am so glad to have God and His Word available to me and to all of us! As I consider the power of words to build up and tear down, I considered what could this devotional have for us as men and as dads. The title got my attention and so I opened it up to check out what it was going to be about and found this:
In a world where communication is easier than ever, why does it seem that no one can communicate effectively? It’s hard enough to communicate the Gospel to someone based on opportunity, openness, and willingness. So let’s make the best of it and communicate with not only the Truth of God but also with the Love of God.

Scripture from Today’s Devotional:
‘Wise men store up and treasure knowledge [in mind and heart], But with the mouth of the foolish, ruin is at hand. ‘
Proverbs 10:14
Let’s be the dads who lean in and put our trust in something and someone that never changes! God is the same yesterday, today, and forever so we don’t have to worry or doubt Him, He is trustworthy! God’s Word never returns void and so we can trust it.
Let’s be the dads who store up knowledge in our hearts and minds! Let’s be the dads who treasure knowledge in our hearts and minds! Let’s be the dads who ask God for wisdom so that we can control what we say and do in order to avoid speaking foolishly and ending up ruining the work in our hands!
