Prayers for Dads – Day 3

Prayers for Dads

Coming out of our last series I did a search for “dad” in the devotions within the Bible app and scrolling through this new one appeared. With my other reading speaking to me about the importance of prayer over fear and worry, this felt like a great devotional to pick up. Looking at the description, the topic feels so relevant and important that I have decided to get started. Today’s devotional shares the following description: “Spend time praying for the fathers and father figures in your life and worldwide through this seven-day plan. Pray over various biblical aspects of fatherhood.” So let’s get started, spending time praying for the dads and father figures in our lives and around the world!

Today’s Devotional’s Scripture References:

‘For you know how, like a father with his children, we exhorted each one of you and encouraged you and charged you to walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory. ‘

1 Thessalonians 2:11-12

‘For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him. Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. ‘

1 Thessalonians 5:9-11

Every morning as I prepare for my day, I turn to God’s Word and time apart and alone with God for I know that God’s Word is alive and knows right where I am at. God’s Word can meet me right here and speak to me the truth in love! God’s Word will speak to me and help me be filled up and ready to step into my today in a way where today will be a Happy Today by choice because this is the day that the Lord has made and so I choose to rejoice and be glad in it!

Let’s be the dads who speak and teach and live our lives in a way that will help our wives, our kids, and our world to see the way they should walk, “in a manner worthy of God”! Let’s be the dads who speak and teach and live our lives in a way that will encourage our wives, our kids, and our world to see the way they should walk, “in a manner worthy of God”! Let’s be the dads who speak and teach and live our lives in a way that will energize and excite our wives, our kids, and our world to see the way they should walk, “in a manner worthy of God”! Let’s be the dads who are living our lives in a way that is worthy of the calling of God into His kingdom and glory! Let’s be the dads who are living our lives in a way that helps our wives, our kids, and our world to similarly live in a way worthy of their respective callings of God into His kingdom and glory! Let’s be the dads because “God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ”! Let’s be the dads who have obtained “salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him”! Let’s be the dads who choose to “encourage one another and build one another up”!
