Just For Dads: Be A Positive Christian Role Model

Just For Dads: Be A Positive Christian Role Model – Day 17

Today’s theme or topic is titled “It’s worth the waiting“! I found a devotional that was a bit longer and that sounded powerful as a message so that it could help us learn and become the dads God created and purposed for us to be. So I chose “Just For Dads: Be A Positive Christian Role Model” because, over 21 days, we will get to read and learn about how to be a positive Christian role model for our family! Over 21 days, we will get to learn about topics like: “self-discipline, love, patience, and much more
! This devotional will not only help us be the dads but it will also help us “in our day-to-day life to show our children what it truly means to be a role model and follower of Christ in every sense“.

Scripture from Today’s Devotional:

‘ As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God? My tears have been my food day and night, while they say to me all the day long, “Where is your God?” These things I remember, as I pour out my soul: how I would go with the throng and lead them in procession to the house of God with glad shouts and songs of praise, a multitude keeping festival. Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.’

Psalm 42:1-6

God’s Word is alive and active and is available to speak into and over our lives daily and all the time! Let’s be the dads who are willing to stop, listen, learn, and live thanks to it!

Let’s be the dads who want more of God! Let’s be the dads who want to be in the presence of God! Let’s be the dads who are fueled by God! Let’s be the dads who are filled by God! Let’s be the dads who pour out our souls in order to bring God the praise, the honor, and the glory! Let’s be the dads who when faced with troubles take heart because we know that Jesus has overcome the world! Let’s be the dads who when faced with trials consider them pure joy because we know that it builds our faith, builds our perseverance and when the work has been completed we will be complete and lacking nothing! Let’s be the dads who when faced with anxiety cast our cares on God because He cares for us! Let’s bet the dads who hope in God, praising Him for our salvation!
