UNCOMMEN: Dads 2 – Day 5

UNCOMMEN DADS - 5 DAY STUDY ON DADS BY TJ TODD

Happy to have found another devotional by UNCOMMEN that we will finish today. This is a sequel to the first UNCOMMEN Dad’s devotional and will look to challenge us to be better dads, better Christians, and better men! This devotional will do so by tackling subjects like effort, trust, consistency, and more. I am excited to see Jesus in and through this devotional and how He can and will infuse us with life-changing power to make us become UNCOMMEN Dads!

Let’s check out our scriptures for today’s devotional:

‘And give my son Solomon the wholehearted devotion to keep your commands, statutes and decrees and to do everything to build the palatial structure for which I have provided.” ‘

1 Chronicles 29:19

‘Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. ‘

James 5:16

‘if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. ‘

2 Chronicles 7:14

As we close out our devotional today let’s dig into the last scriptures that are incorporated into today’s message. God’s Word is alive and active and is good for teaching and directing us! Let’s grab a hold of our responsibility when it comes to raising our kids and be the dads!

Let’s be the dads who are preparing our kids and pointing our kids to God! Let’s be the dads who are praying and in relationship with God so that we can ask Him to help our kids be wholeheartedly devoted to keeping God’s commands, statutes, and decrees! Let’s be the dads who live godly examples so that our kids will do everything to build the life God and us as dads have provided and prepared for them to accomplish!

Let’s be the dads who trust and lean in on God so much that we confess our sins to one another! Let’s be the dads who are living for the glory of God by praying for each other that we may be healed! Let’s be the dads who stick close to God and live to imitate God because we know that the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective!

Let’s be the dads who are walking humbly rather than prideful! Let’s be the dads who are called Christians! Let’s be the dads who will humble ourselves and pray to God! Let’s be the dads who will humble ourselves and seek God’s face! Let’s be the dads who will humble ourselves and turn from our wicked ways! Let’s be the dads who God will hear from heaven! Let’s be the dads who God will forgive our sins! Let’s be the dads who God will heal our land!
